David de Gea sends message to fans from Spain

by Sam Peoples

David de Gea‘s silence in Spain is painful for Manchester United fans who just want to know whether he will be leaving for Real Madrid this summer.

It’s the lack of information which is making it all the more slow and cumbersome.

De Gea has refused to comment on anything, Louis van Gaal kept tight lipped when he was asked by reporters and nobody else is giving any indication of movement with regards to an agreement.

When De Gea sends a tweet out, fans immediately hope it’s him confirming something to do with his future. Is it an update? Alas, no. De Gea is instead messaging his followers wishing the Spanish women’s national team good luck in the FIFA World Cup this summer:

Translation: All the luck in the world at the @SeFutbol in their debut in the @FIFAWWC against Canada! #SonarEnGrande

It’s all gone very quiet in Spain this week with De Gea. Usually every day there are bold and fresh claims with regards to an update about his future. The latest suggests his agent Jorge Mendes has met with Real Madrid president Florentino Perez but that’s about it.

Will he stay or will he go? Unfortunately, we all know the answer but are no closer to finding it out.
