Manchester United interested in signing Tottenham Hotspur’s Harry Kane

Manchester United are interested in signing Tottenham Hotspur’s Harry Kane this summer.

The 21-year-old was prolific for Spurs last year and was named PFA Young Player of the Year having finished the season on an impressive 31 goals in all competitions.

Man United’s top scorer last season was Wayne Rooney on just 14 Premier League goals and Louis van Gaal is in the market for a new striker this season.

Now, Sky Sports have reported that Kane is on United’s radar and widespread reports earlier in the window suggested Spurs would want £50m for the striker..

There is no doubting how impressive Kane was last season with Spurs but it would be a massive gamble for any club to spend anywhere near £50m on the 21-year-old because he has only had one full Premier League campaign under his belt.

Kane looks like a top class talent but at this moment in time there are no guarantees he will be equally as prolific next season, so it will be interesting to see how United’s interest in him develops over the transfer window.
