Nani closing in on Fenerbahce move with agent in Turkey to finalise deal

Manchester United midfielder Nani’s agent is in Istanbul to finalise a move to Fenerbahce, according to reports in Turkey.

NTV Spor say the winger’s agent, Federico Pastorello, is there to help push through the move and complete the deal.

Nani had a successful spell on loan at Sporting Lisbon last year but is out of favour at United. Having failed to make an impact under David Moyes, new manager Louis van Gaal then sent out Nani on loan.

After the arrival of Memphis Depay and the resurgence of Ashley Young, the 28-year-old would certainly find it hard to get much playing time at United next season.

Pastorello has certainly been in Istanbul recently having posted a picture onto his Instagram account and it does seem that Nani is preparing for a move to the Turkish capital.

After a promising start to his United career, Nani slowly faded and never seemed to grow into the player United fans thought they would see.

Despite some huge moments, such as an injury time winner against Manchester City and a penalty in Moscow, Nani never fulfilled his potential at United.

As the Reds look to push towards a title charge next season, Van Gaal should be tempted to get rid of players who he won’t be using and Nani, unfortunately, falls into that bracket.
