Man United fans wanted to see Pereira sign a new long term contract with the club and were delighted when news broke that he had signed a new deal.

Pereira has a fantastic future ahead of himself. He has always had the talent but as he is now beginning to mature, he is starting to show he has got the application as well, so it will be very exciting to see how he develops next season under Louis van Gaal.

Commiserations to Pereira for finishing as a runner-up in the U20s World Cup but he can take solace in the fact he finished as Brazil’s joint top scorer. Well done, Andreas.
