Manchester United target Jasper Cillessen, Sergio Ramos, Bastian Schweinsteiger and Karim Benzema – report

Manchester United’s Louis van Gaal has targeted four players to rebuild his squad if recent reports are to be believed.

Van Gaal wants to purchase a goalkeeper, defender, midfielder and striker in order to define the core of his team and has highlighted four prospects that would cost in the region of £150 million.

The players singled out are all proven at both international and club level and two of them have worked with Van Gaal before.

Jasper Cillessen, Sergio Ramos, Bastan Schweinsteiger and Karim Benzema have been touted as the four players that Van Gaal wants in order to build a team that is capable of competing for the Premier League.

Cillessen is seen as a replacement for David de Gea, who has one foot out the door of Old Trafford. Ramos could be a part of a deal that sends De Gea to Madrid. Schweinsteiger’s playing time at Bayern Munich might be a motivation for moving and Benzema is seen as the perfect number nine to accommodate United’s newest signing Memphis Depay, Wayne Rooney and Angel di Maria.

While it would be optimistic to think that all players will arrive at Old Trafford this summer, Man United are one of the only clubs in the world who could afford their wages and might tempt them into moving.
