Fenerbahçe manager Vitor Pereira has confirmed his interest in Manchester United winger Nani.
The 29-year old, who has been at Man United since 2007, has been the subject of ongoing transfer speculation due to a lack of playing time over the last couple of years.
After completing a successful loan spell at Sporting Lisbon last term, where he registered seven goals in 27 league appearances, the player has attracted interest from clubs across Europe.
Nani has spoke of his desire to stay at United in order to recapture the form he showed early in his early days at Old Trafford but Louis Van Gaal has told the player he is ready to let him go. Pereira insisted he would be happy to bring Nani to Turkey.
Speaking about the player, Pereira said: “Nani is a player with quality, who has interested me at Fenerbahce.”
Nani has been poor in a United shirt in recent years but keeping him at Old Trafford until January could have been a risk worth taking for van Gaal. Despite signing talented youngster Memphis Depay, an on-form and confident Nani is a dangerous asset to have.
According to Lig Tv, Nani is expected to complete his move to Turkey on Friday. He has given United fans some great memories over the years so the announcement may be met with a tinge of sadness.
