Manchester United’s Robin van Persie looks set to leave the club and join Turkish side Fenerbahce this summer.
The Guardian reports that personal terms have already been agreed for the 31-year-old to join Fenerbahce and now a fee has to be agreed between the clubs.
While there was a little division among some Man United fans as to whether this is the right time to let Van Persie leave the club, fans were together in thanking the Dutchman on what he did in his first year as a United player.
Van Persie almost single handedly drove United towards their 20th English league title and 13th Premier League title, putting an end to years of drought for himself after spending his career at Arsenal. It really was a magnificent season from him.

He might have been muted in the last two seasons but Van Persie was worth every penny of the £24m which United paid Arsenal, simply because of how good he was in his first season at the club.
It will be sad to see Van Persie go for sentimental reasons but in the practical sense, it would be logical to get his £200,000 a week wages off the books and try to sign a younger replacement who is more likely to suit Louis van Gaal‘s dynamic style of football.
