Juan Mata is back in business with Manchester United on the first day of pre-season training and has got himself a new pair of Adidas boots to play with.
The Spaniard had a full summer off as he was left out of Spain’s squad for their international games and therefore was able to completely relax and rest.
It means Mata should return to the team full of vigour after such a long break and hopefully means he can hit the ground running straight away.
Mata grew into his role at United last season and ended up being a very influential player in the second half of the campaign, so fans are hoping he’ll be able to replicate that form straight away on the pre-season tour and carry it into the start of the season.

As well as Mata, fellow Spaniards Ander Herrera and David de Gea reported for pre-season training this morning and there is obviously a big focus on the latter’s future, with reports of a move to Real Madrid refusing to go away.
With only a week until the squad flies out to USA, De Gea and United don’t have very long left to resolve a transfer if he is to move to Spain before the tour starts.
