Galatasaray are closing in on a move for Manchester United outcast Rafael da Silva, according to The Guardian.
Louis van Gaal has reportedly told Man United to listen to offers for the right-back as he doesn’t feature in his plans for next season.
Rafael, who earns a reported £65,000-a-week at United, fell out of favour in the second half of the campaign last season and he was often left out of the squad altogether.
Instead, Antonio Valencia was played out of position to cover right-back as he is more solid defensively.
United fans love how Rafael puts his heart and soul into every game he plays but his injury record means he simply cannot be relied upon. A move will give Rafael a a chance to play first-team football and salvage his career, something he likely wouldn’t have been able to do under van Gaal.
