Bastian Schweinsteiger is now on his way to Manchester ahead of completing his move to Manchester United.
The 30-year-old will be Louis van Gaal‘s third summer signing once he has signed on the dotted line and become the first German to play for the club.
United fans can’t quite believe what has happened over the last 48 hours. First a deal for Schweinsteiger was announced and then quickly followed up by Matteo Darmian being officially unveiled as a United player.
In terms of buying a top central midfielder who can not only real quality but a wealth of experience, there aren’t many better players than Schweinsteiger.

Having played underneath Van Gaal previously when he was manager of Bayern Munich, Schweinsteiger knows exactly what it takes to implement his philosophy and it’s going to be very exciting to see him come into United’s midfield.
With United’s squad flying out for the pre-season US Tour tomorrow, Schweinsteiger could well be included in that team so long as everything can be completed in time.
