Manchester United consider loaning James Wilson to Hull City – report

Manchester United are considering sending James Wilson out on loan to Hull City, according to the Mirror.

The 19-year-old scored twice on his debut for Man United against Hull last year but he has struggled to get into the starting XI under Louis van Gaal.

The club are said to be willing to let Wilson gain experience elsewhere as a result.

It would be a bizarre move considering Radamel Falcao and Robin van Persie have also left the club this summer.

If Wilson was to go, it would leave Wayne Rooney and Javier Hernandez as Louis van Gaal’s only recognised strikers ahead of the new campaign.

Perhaps United already have a replacement lined up. Bayern Munich’s Thomas Muller and Tottenham Hotspur’s Harry Kane have both been linked with moves to Old Trafford in recent weeks.

As for Wilson, it would be good for him to get some regular minutes on the pitch. He is still in the very early stages of his development and there is plenty of time for him to make a mark at United.
