Bastian Schweinsteiger ready to make his Manchester United debut against Club America

Bastian Schweinsteiger has taken a lot of the limelight since he was unveiled as a Manchester United player just over 72 hours ago.

The 30-year-old became United’s third summer signing at the time and was swiftly followed by an announcement to unveil Morgan Schneiderlin only a few minutes later.

Already in his short space of time as a United player, Schweinsteiger has been saying all the right things to win over fans and ahead of the game against Club America, he is the player who most people will be looking forward to seeing the most.

Schweinsteiger. In a United shirt playing a match. It’s something that won’t really sink in until it actually happens but he has certainly been working hard this week in training to get himself ready.

United have gone from having no midfield options a few years ago to being absolutely spoilt for choice this year.

Schweinsteiger, Schneiderlin, Carrick, Herrera, Mata, Di Maria, Fellaini and Pereira could all conceivably occupy a position in the middle – it’s a phenomenal depth in the squad.

However, Schweinsteiger is most certainly one of the stars of the show and when United kick-off against Club America in less than 12 hours time, fans are hoping to see the German midfielder bossing it in a United shirt.
