Having got off to a positive start on their pre-season tour with a win over Club America, Louis van Gaal will want to see more of the same from his Manchester United side against San Jose Earthquakes.
As two completely different XIs will be played in the first and second halves again, United are likely to make a few changes to the starting XI from the weekend.
We’d like to see Ander Herrera in the No.10 role against San Jose because the Spanish midfielder is likely to take a role further up the pitch this year for United, so we want to see how gets on in that position.
It’s also important that Memphis Depay gets game time under his belt playing in the left wing role because it’s the position he is likely to play most often than United next year.
One important change to this starting XI as well is putting Adnan Januzaj on the right-wing from the start. Could he be the solution to the lack of depth in the right-wing role? Maybe.
What do you think about this potential XI for the San Jose Earthquakes team?
