Sergio Busquets has hinted that his Barcelona and Spanish teammate Pedro Rodriguez could leave the club.
Pedro has been linked with a move to Manchester United this summer after struggling to break into a Barcelona attack that consists of Lionel Messi, Luis Suarez and Neymar.
Louis van Gaal is said to want Pedro to increase his options in attack and with Angel di Maria reportedly close to a move to Paris Saint-Germain, it would make sense to replace him with a Champions League and World Cup winner.
Busquets revealed he had a conversation with Pedro but would not reveal what was said during the talk.
“Yes, I have spoken to him but I won’t tell you what he said. It was a private conversation,” he said.
“I would want him to stay, I would love him to stay. He is a friend of mine and it will be his final decision. He wants to play more and get more minutes. That’s what he wants.
“But we are in a team of great players and it’s hard for him. Finally it will be his decision but I hope he stays.”
Pedro possesses the kind of speed that can disrupt any defence in England and Europe. He can finish and always wants the ball. The attacker is only 27 and still has his best years ahead of him. He has won every title there is to win and would bolster United’s attacking options ahead of the new Premier League.
