Manchester United transfer gossip: Perez wants Ramos out of Real Madrid, Pedro tells Barcelona team-mates he’s leaving

Here is today’s round-up of the latest Manchester United transfer news and gossip.

Sergio Romero is expected to fly to USA this weekend and watch Manchester United take on FC Barcelona ahead of a move to the club.

The Argentinian goalkeeper is currently a free agent but it looks like he will be Louis van Gaal‘s replacement for the outgoing Victor Valdes.

Another Sergio who Man United fans are interested in is Ramos. Speaking on Radio MARCA, journalist Pablo Garcia-Cuervo has gone on the record to say Real Madrid president Florentino Perez wants Ramos to leave the club.

If true, then it paves the way for United to accelerate their attempts to bring the 29-year-old to Old Trafford.

Staying in Spain, there have been plenty of updates this Friday on Pedro Rodriguez and his potential move to United from Barcelona.

The latest reports say Pedro has told his team-mates he wants to leave Barcelona and that United are now in negotiations with the Spanish club over the winger.

With a €30m release clause (roughly £22m at current transfer exchange prices), the 27-year-old would be very good value for money given that he still has plenty of years left in him.

Although United have already been very busy in the current transfer window, there is still likely to be a lot of activity both in and out of Old Trafford this summer.
