New Manchester United signing Memphis Depay is working hard ahead of what will be his biggest game so far for the club against Barcelona at the weekend.
Memphis grabbed his first Man united goal in the 3-1 win over San Jose Earthquakes and has impressed on tour so far.
Having been deployed in a No.10 position just behind Wayne Rooney, the Dutchman has been lively and has given United fans a glimpse of what he is all about.
Memphis has been pushing himself in terms of improving his fitness since his move to United and that’s what the pre-season is all about, ahead of the Premier League starting in August.
United still have two games remaining on their pre-season tour of the USA with their most difficult challenge next up. Current European champions Barcelona are United’s next opposition and players like Depay will be hoping to be involved in more of the action.
Louis van Gaal has confirmed that certain players will play an hour against Barcelona rather than the 45 minutes seen in the previous games and Memphis will be hoping he is one of the players who gets an extended run out.
Having scored his first United goal, the Dutchman will be full of confidence ahead of Saturday and fans certainly hope he’ll be flying against Barcelona on Saturday.
