Manchester United confirm Callum Gribbin, RoShaun Williams and Zach Dearnley deals

Manchester United have confirmed that deals for Callum Gribbin, RoShaun Williams and Zach Dearnley have been agreed by adding their profiles to the U18s section on the official website.

As we reported earlier this week, deals for all three had been signed as well as one for Timothy Fosu-Mensah but it’s good to see they have now been acknowledged by the club.

All three players will go under a scholarship agreement for one year until they reach the age of 17 and they can then sign professional terms with United.

Fans are perfectly entitled to get excited about major new signings being brought into the club but there is a real romance when it comes to watching the progression of a youngster through the academy, and that’s the case with all three of these players.

In particular, Gribbin is an eye-catching player who tends to take centre stage when he puts in a good performance, so it’ll be exciting to see how he gets on this year.

All three were regular players in the U18s last year, despite being 16, so it will be interesting to see if they are given any opportunities with the U21s or whether they will remain with Paul McGuinness’ U18s side.
