Barcelona forward Pedro will make his last appearance for the club in the Gamper Trophy on August 5th before leaving for Manchester United, according to Sport.
Ed Woodward will travel to Barcelona next week in order to finalise a deal for the Spaniard.
The transfer has progressed rapidly in the past couple of days, with the final figures being negotiated.
United and Barcelona have agreed a fee of €30m, which activates a clause in Pedro’s contract. United will pay €26m upfront with the remaining €4m in bonuses still being discussed.
The player himself has agreed terms on a €5m-a-year contract at Old Trafford and is just waiting for the deal to be completed between the two clubs.
Meanwhile, Barcelona boss Luis Enquire is said to be unhappy with the potential sale and has unsuccessfully tried to persuade the board and player to pull out of negotiations.
It goes to show just how highly rated he is at Barcelona. United would be getting themselves a quality player and one that will go a long way to replacing the departing Angel Di Maria. At €30m, he will be a steal.
