Here is the latest Manchester United news and gossip.

Rio Ferdinand had his say regarding a number of Man United’s incomings and outgoings on Tuesday.

The 36-year-old insisted that Angel di Maria will always regret his failed time at Old Trafford and urged Everton’s John Stones to join United rather than Chelsea.

On top of this, Ferdinand believes United should be giving more opportunities to the “fantastic” Javier Hernandez.

Elsewhere, Barcelona’s Pedro will reportedly make his final appearance in the Gamper Trophy tomorrow before moving to United. Separately, Andy Mitten claimed the Spaniard wants to move to Old Trafford and that the two clubs are finalising the details of a transfer.

His arrival may mean that Jesse Lingard leaves the club, as Newcastle United have registered their interest in the player.

Finally, ESPN report that Ashley Young has signed a new deal at United. It appears that Louis van Gaal was impressed by the winger’s resurgence in form last term and has rewarded him by extending his stay.
