Memphis Depay looking sharp in Manchester United training ahead of Tottenham Hotspur clash

by Ben Topliss

Manchester United forward Memphis Depay has been hard at work in training ahead of the Premier League opener against Tottenham Hotspur on Saturday.

Big things are expected of Memphis in the coming campaign after he fired PSV Eindhoven to the Eredivisie title last season.

He was used in the No.10 role by Louis van Gaal during the pre-season tour of the United States but it is unclear whether he will play there or on the wing against Spurs.

Regardless, he looked sharp and ready in training having cut off his infamous mutton chops:

If United complete the signing of Barcelona’s Pedro this week, as is widely expected, van Gaal will have fearsome attacking options to choose from.

Memphis, Pedro and Wayne Rooney will likely be given starring roles up top, while the likes of Andreas Pereira, Adnan Januzaj, Ashley Young and James Wilson wait in the wings.
