Juan Mata ready for Champions League action in Manchester United’s new kit

Champions League football is so close to returning to Old Trafford that you could almost touch it.

A two-legged qualifier stands in way of Man United and, regardless of the team they are drawn against, Louis van Gaal‘s side will be heavy favourites to reach the group stage.

Last year felt very strange for United fans as Champions League football was a given under Sir Alex Ferguson, so a season without it was an altogether foreign concept and felt very scouse.

So, Van Gaal will be well aware just how important it is to win the play-off and bring Champions League football back to United.

The players will certainly be ready for it and Juan Mata has been showing off the kit with the font used in the Champions League which is a subtle, but gorgeous, difference from the Premier League.

Some of fans’ best memories at Old Trafford are from European midweek nights under the floodlights at Old Trafford and everybody is itching for those to return.

United will find out their Champions League fate on Friday when the draw reveals who they will face in their all important play-off games during August.
