Subs: Johnstone, Valencia, McNair, Schweinsteiger, Herrera, Pereira, Chicharito

Manchester United manager Louis van Gaal has handed Sergio Romero his debut in goal for the game against Tottenham Hotspur this afternoon.

The Argentine starts as David de Gea is not in the right frame of mind to play amid speculation he is set to join Real Madrid.

As expected, Matteo Darmian, Daley Blind and Luke Shaw line up at the back, with Chris Smalling preferred to take the final spot in central defence ahead of Phil Jones.

Michael Carrick and Morgan Schneiderlin will play in the middle of the park, meaning there is no room for Ander Herrera. Adnan Januzaj fails to make the squad altogether while Marouane Fellaini is suspended.

Juan Mata, Wayne Rooney, Memphis Depay and Ashley Young occupy the attacking positions. It is a strong line up and it’s safe to say that Old Trafford will be rocking when the players walk out this afternoon.
