Manchester United boss Louis van Gaal insists Adnan Januzaj is not for sale

Manchester United manager Louis van Gaal has insisted that Adnan Januzaj is “not for sale” amid speculation surrounding his future at Old Trafford.

Januzaj has been linked with loan moves to Everton and Sunderland this summer.

Although van Gaal didn’t rule out a short-term deal, he rubbished suggestions the player will be sold.

Januzaj will be grateful to hear van Gaal’s comments as he looks to establish himself in the first-team.

When asked about Januzaj’s availability, van Gaal replied: “Not for sale. He is doing his utmost best. All the players are. I have no complaints.”

Earlier on Thursday, Januzaj had laughed off the ‘rumours’ through a post on his official Twitter account.

Van Gaal’s comments don’t really reveal his thoughts on a loan but it is good to see that Januzaj is still very much a part of United’s plans in the long-term. He has bags of potential and still has plenty of time to realise it.
