Manchester United forward Memphis Depay in good spirits ahead of Club Brugge clash

by Ben Topliss

Manchester United’s squad are on their way to Belgium ahead of the crucial Champions League playoff second leg against Club Brugge on Wednesday.

Man United are in a strong position heading into the clash after beating Brugge 3-1 at Old Trafford in the first leg.

The victory was largely down to the performance of Memphis Depay, who scored twice before setting up Marouane Fellaini late on.

Memphis seemed to be in good spirits and tweeted a picture of himself and Ashley Young travelling to Belgium:

Although United are firm favourites to progress to the Champions League group stages, Louis van Gaal will be fully aware that anything can happen in the game.

Memphis and his teammates will need to be on the top of their game if they are to take a positive result away from Belgium. David de Gea, Antonio Valencia and Andreas Pereira will take no part in the clash as they have been excluded from the matchday squad.
