Jonny Evans will undergo a medical with West Brom tonight ahead of completing a move from Manchester United.
The 27-year-old defender has been on the decline for the last two years under both David Moyes and Louis van Gaal and has never been given much of an opportunity under the Dutchman.
His exit was widely expected this summer and both Everton and West Brom were considered potential destinations but with Joleon Lescott set to leave West Brom this summer, Evans is set to come in as a direct replacement for him.
For all parties involved, Evans’ exit from Man United this summer is the right move.

Van Gaal doesn’t feel Evans is good enough for his squad so has no purpose to keep him at United and for the Northern Irishman himself, it represents an opportunity to revive his career which has stagnated recently.
At 27, Evans still has so much of his career ahead of him and a fresh start could be the perfect way for him to galvanise it.
