No more incomings at Manchester United as Jonny Evans and Victor Valdes are both set to be sold – report

Manchester United will not bring in any more reinforcements during this transfer window, according to the MailOnline.

Louis van Gaal has made five signings during this window and has overseen the departures of nine players – the most high profile being Angel Di Maria’s £44m move to Paris Saint-Germain.

Speculation concerning any further transfer business at Old Trafford has refused to cease, with the likes of Thomas Muller, Neymar and Sadio Mane all rumoured to be on Man United’s radar.

However, the Daily Mail’s Mike Keegan has insisted that, aside from the imminent departures of outcasts Jonny Evans and Victor Valdes, there will be no further transfer business at United this summer.

Louis van Gaal 50

United’s sudden inactivity in the latter stages of this transfer window has been frustrating for some supporters, who believe that van Gaal’s side require more additions at central defence and up front.

But with United’s back four looking increasingly stable, it’s no surprise that talk of more defensive personnel – a popular topic last season – has almost completely died down.

As for options up front, those crying out for further additions might have a point; Javier Hernandez, United’s supposed back-up striker, showed scant evidence of being up to scratch in the 4-0 win over Club Brugge earlier this week, missing a penalty and an open goal. But this area is unlikely to be addressed, since van Gaal is adamant that he has five striking options in his attacking arsenal; Wayne Rooney, Hernandez, James Wilson, Memphis Depay and Adnan Januzaj.
