Javier Hernandez thanked Sir Alex Ferguson in his goodbye message to Manchester United fans but offered no gratitude to David Moyes or Louis van Gaal.
The Mexican spent five years at Old Trafford before being sold to Bayer Leverkusen on deadline day in a deal worth £7.1m.
Hernandez played a key part in Man United’s Premier League success in recent years, scoring 59 goals in 157 appearances.
He thanked Ferguson for his role in that but seemingly made a point by leaving out Moyes and van Gaal.
Ferguson had a remarkable ability to make every player feel special at United and unfortunately Moyes and van Gaal couldn’t do the same with Hernandez.
Although the 27-year-old remains a fantastic finisher, his all-round game was not deemed up to scratch in his final years at United. Hernandez produces his best when a team moulds their style of play towards him and he should get that in Germany.
