Anthony Martial will be speaking to Morgan Schneiderlin away on international duty with France about how it has gone since his move to Manchester United this summer but if he wants to really understand the club, there’s nobody better placed than Patrice Evra.
The ex-United and France captain spent eight years at Man United having moved from the same club Martial did, AS Monaco, and went on to become one of the best left backs we’ve ever had.
Aside from his football, Evra knew what it meant to be a United player and fans loved him for it. He always gave his all for the club and if Martial can have that same sort of enthusiasm for United, it’ll put him in great stead.
Evra might not be a United player any more but he’s still loved by everyone at Old Trafford, so there really isn’t anybody better placed for Martial to learn from before he moves to Manchester next week.
France are in action tonight in a friendly against Portugal, so United fans will be hoping to see Martial in action for the first time since completing his move.
