Ryan Giggs has admitted he “can’t wait” for Manchester United to face Liverpool this weekend.

Man United have gone through a mediocre start to the Premier League season and they lost against Swansea City before the international break.

Liverpool travel to Manchester on Saturday also looking to bounce back having lost 3-0 against West Ham United last time out.

Giggs believes that Old Trafford will be “bouncing” when Liverpool come to town.

“Liverpool is the perfect game to have to come back to after the international break,” Giggs said.

“Old Trafford will be bouncing for a late kick-off. All the players are looking forward to it and I’m sure the fans are too. Liverpool is always a special game and it’s even more special when you win, so we can’t wait.”

United’s game against Liverpool is the first one fans look for when the fixture list is announced. The clash is steeped in history and there have been a number of memorable moments down the years. United beat Liverpool home and away last season and they will be hoping for more of the same this weekend.
