Bastian Schweinsteiger enjoyed a fantastic international break with Germany and looks to have come back to Manchester in great spirits.
The 30-year-old midfield played all 180 minutes in Germany’s wins over both Poland and Scotland and that’s the first time this season where he has completed a full game, so his fitness is continuing to get better.
Some will question whether Schweinsteiger is able to play so much football during the international break and be fit enough to face Liverpool but it’s good to see him back playing full games with ease.
The good thing bout Man United’s squad at the moment is that even if Schweinsteiger isn’t fit, Louis van Gaal has the likes of Ander Herrera, Morgan Schneiderlin and Michael Carrick to choose from. There’s so much quality in the central midfield positions right now that he is literally spoilt for choice.
