Manchester United manager Louis van Gaal has had a sly dig at Liverpool, after his side cruised to a 3-1 win.
Man United dominated the Merseysiders from start to finish, much as they have since van Gaal took over at Old Trafford and another convincing performance gave the Reds all three points.
Van Gaal made some inspired substitutions, by bringing on Ashley Young and Anthony Martial in the second half. Young went on to win the free-kick that led to United’s first goal, before Martial’s moment of brilliance on his debut sealed an incredible win for the manager.
Van Gaal also chose to reinstate David De Gea into the starting lineup and the Spaniard made two impressive saves to keep hold of United’s lead.

Having completed the double over Liverpool last season, United fans will be delighted with van Gaal’s preparation for the big games, especially over their biggest rivals.
The Reds will now turn their attention to the UEFA Champions League when they visit the manager’s home country. United face PSV Eindhoven in their opening game of the competition this season.
