Gary Neville has been extremely impressed by Anthony Martial‘s start to life at Manchester United.
The 19-year-old youngster scored once again for Man United with a superb turn and finish inside Southampton’s area and unbelievably followed it up with another goal in the second,
They were both ice cool finishes from a player who is showing so much composure in his early days at United and that’s something which Neville feels bodes well for the future.
“Martial looks cold,” Neville said after Martial scored in the first half against Southampton.
“He isn’t overcome with emotion and that’s a good sign.”
Neville is absolutely spot on. Martial didn’t even look overawed after scoring against Liverpool on his debut in front of the Stretford End, he immediately looked like he belonged.
We’ve had nothing but good things to say about Martial ever since he came on against Liverpool. Away at PSV Eindhoven he was extremely impressive too with a very dynamic performance in a tough game and today at Southampton he continued that trend.
There were no expectations on Martial’s shoulders at the start of his United career but he is setting them himself.
