Luke Shaw returns home from hospital to begin recovery from double leg break

Luke Shaw has been allowed to go home from hospital following a series of operations on his broken leg.

The 20-year-old has been recovering in hospital since returning from Eindhoven where he underwent two operations on his double leg fracture.

It’s great news to hear Shaw has now been allowed to return home because he can now rest in the comfort of his own environment which will help with his mental recovery. For anybody that has undergone surgery, they will now how much of a relief it is to leave hospital and go home.

The road to recovery is going to be a long and arduous one for Shaw. Current estimations of a return date vary between six and nine months but Louis van Gaal will certainly not rush him back into action.

Not every player recovers from an injury as serious as this but the success story of Aaron Ramsey will fill Shaw with some real confidence that so long as he remains determined and focused, he can overcome this big hurdle in his career.
