Manchester United to face Middlesbrough in Capital One Cup fourth round

by Ben Topliss

Manchester United will face Middlesbrough at Old Trafford in the fourth round of the Capital One Cup.

The two teams were drawn together immediately after Man United’s comfortable 3-0 victory over Ipswich Town on Wednesday.

It is a favourable draw, although Middlesbrough have impressed in the Championship, and one that United should be confident of progressing from.

Andreas Pereira will be hoping for another start after he scored against Ipswich at Old Trafford with a superb free-kick.

It seems as if Louis van Gaal has learned his lesson after the 4-0 defeat which knocked United out of the competition last term and he named a strong lineup against Ipswich.

Supporters should expect the same against Middlesbrough. Meanwhile, Manchester City will face Crystal Palace, Chelsea travel to Stoke City and Sheffield Wednesday have earned themselves a tie against Arsenal.
