Anthony Martial put in a brilliant performance as Manchester United went top of the Premier League table with a 3-0 victory over Sunderland on Saturday.
The 19-year-old started up front and gave a masterclass of how to play in the No.9 position. His hold up play and runs in behind constantly terrorised the Sunderland defence as Man United sealed a comfortable win.
Martial also bagged an assist for Wayne Rooney‘s goal when be heat his man inside the box and crossed for the England captain. It capped off a great day for the Frenchman, who seems to be improving with every display.
United fans and pundits were delighted with their new striker and let their feelings be known:
Martial is such a bloody good player.

The difference that the extra pace of Martial has made to our attack is amazing.
Helps that he's technically v good & scores too!

Scoring four goals in four games was very impressive from Martial but providing an assist to Rooney just edges it.

Martial shuffles the ball with his feet like a magician with a deck of cards. It’s beautiful to watch.

Looking to become the first United player to score in their first three Premier League appearances for the club, Martial was a standout player on the day. The former Monaco man was central to everything good his side produced and he allowed the players around him to get more involved.
Martial showed what he was all about against Sunderland. United supporters have been lucky to already witness his pace and finishing but he displayed brilliant forward play throughout the game. He was always an outlet when the team looked to get forward and his pace troubled both centre-backs.
Martial will want to keep his good run of form going when Wolfsburg visit Old Trafford on Wednesday. He will want the opportunity to get his first Champions League goal and add to his already impressive start.
