Manchester United’s players were back in Carrington this morning having a warm-down training session after yesterday’s 3-0 win over Sunderland.
Man United rarely had to get out of second gear at the weekend and there were no fresh injury concerns, so the players should be in good shape for training today.
After a slow start against Sunderland, Man United came into their own in the second half and it ended up being a very dominant performance which was capped off with a well worked Juan Mata goal.
Although Louis van Gaal will be delighted his side are now back on top of the table, the players don’t have time to rest on their laurels with a hugely important UEFA Champions League game coming up on Wednesday.

The loss against PSV Eindhoven has put a lot of pressure on United to make sure that they beat Wolfsburg this week. If they don’t manage to, it will leave them in a tricky situation in the group with an away fixture to CSKA Moscow coming up.
United are in good form right now and with 12 goal in their last four games it looks like our goalscoring problems from the start of the season have disappeared. Hopefully we can carry that hot streak into Europe because anything but a win over Wolfsburg won’t be enough.
