Manchester United midfielder Andreas Pereira expressed his delight at going to the top of the Premier League table.
The Reds cruised past Sunderland 3-0 at Old Trafford to take them one point ahead of Manchester City. It ensures that Man United will be at the summit at the end of the weekend for the first time in over two years.
The Brazilian starred on his first-team debut against Ipswich in the week, capping off a brilliant performance with a delightful free-kick to notch his first senior goal. His display wasn’t enough to earn him game time against the Black Cats but it is encouraging to see him being considered.

The 19-year-old is remaining cautious about being on top of the table but insists that the team are ‘on the right track.’ Pereira could be crucial for United for the remainder of the season, given the number of competitions they are in. The youngster got his opportunity in the Capital One Cup and grasped and he will be hoping he can play his way into Louis van Gaal‘s thinking.
