Manchester United youngsters Donald Love, Joshua Harrop, Guillermo Varela and James Weir have all trained with the first-team this morning ahead of Wednesday night’s game against Wolfsburg.

The quartet all currently play for Man United’s U21s but have been given an opportunity by Louis van Gaal to make the step up to senior training and that’s a great chance for them to make an impression.

We’ve been discussing the promotion of youth at the weekend with fans outside Old Trafford and they wanted to see it keep happening under van Gaal. Well, you can’t ask for much more than four youngsters joining in training ahead of an important UEFA Champions League tie can you?

Here’s a picture from BBC journalist Paul Hirst who was at Carrington this morning watching the training session.

We’ll have more training photos for you later on today.
