Anthony Martial continued his stellar start to life at Manchester United with another impressive performance against Wolfsburg at Old Trafford.
The Frenchman couldn’t get himself on the scoresheet but played a huge part in helping Man United to a crucial 2-1 victory to give them their first Champions League victory of the season.
Martial kept his place in the starting line up and once again lead the line brilliantly for the Reds. The 19-year-old was constantly trying to run in behind and was always an outlet for the United midfield to play to. He was unlucky not to record an assist, after beating Ricardo Rodriguez with ease and crossing, only for Wayne Rooney to to inexplicably miss the target.
United fans were once again delighted with their deadline day signing:
Good game anyways. Our attack has a different dimension with Martial. He's beginning to form an understanding with mata

Love Martial's quick feet and close control dribbling. Very easy on the eye. #mufc

Martial has exceeded expectations since his move from Monaco on transfer deadline day and his displays have been rewarded with a place in the starting side. The youngster was expected to play more of a bit-part role this year, given his inexperience and his need for development.
However, since his arrival, Martial has proved his worth time and again and is beginning to look almost undroppable. He has been a key player for the Reds already this season, scoring four goals in all competitions less than a month after signing for the club.
The striker will hope he can keep his place when United visit Arsenal on Sunday. There is a lot at stake for the Reds and Martial could help United extend their lead at the top of the league table with yet another consistent display.
