Roy Keane believes Manchester United are “progressing nicely” under the tutelage of Louis van Gaal.
Man United have impressed in recent weeks having registered four wins on the bounce.
Keane praised United but warned van Gaal he faces a testing October, beginning with the clash against Arsenal on Sunday.
“They’re progressing nicely,” Keane said.
“They haven’t really been tested in the league. We’ll have a better idea in the next few weeks when they play Arsenal, Everton and Manchester City. All you can do is beat the teams in front of you. There is a balance to the team. They’re a big goal threat. They might not be at their best, but if you’re scoring three or four goals a game, you’ll win football matches.”
United currently sit top of the Premier League table but their title credentials will certainly be tested this month. If van Gaal’s can come through their tough run of fixtures with a healthy position in the league, then murmurs of a title challenge will inevitably increase. However, that is easier said than done and Arsenal will be tough to beat at the Emirates this weekend.
