Manchester United assistant manager Ryan Giggs has reportedly offered his advice to young winger Memphis Depay.
Memphis has had an indifferent start to life at Man United and has been slightly underwhelming this season so far, especially in the Premier League.
The Dutchman signed for United from PSV Eindhoven at the start of this summer and expectations were already sky-high. However, the midfielder has struggled to reach the heights that were expected of him when he first signed and Giggs has, apparently, stepped in to try and help Depay, according to the Mirror.
The Welshman knows all about being a winger at one of the biggest clubs in the world and has had to warn Memphis over conduct off the field, as well as on it. The Dutch international has been spotted out and about in Manchester on numerous occasions, something Giggs will want to curtail.
Depay finally broke his Premier League duck with a goal in the 3-0 victory over Sunderland but was subsequently taken off at half-time in the loss to Arsenal.
It was the second time this season that Memphis has failed to appear for the second half of the game after a poor performance. However, the winger is still just 21 and United fans will know that he still has a long way to go before being the finished product.
Memphis definitely has the talent and the ability to do well in England, it is just about whether he can realise that potential. The help of Giggs will certainly aid Depay and he will want to take his coaches advice into account when he returns from international duty.
