Manchester United midfielder Juan Mata has urged his teammates to be ready for a “tough and thrilling” fixture list in October.
Man United face a difficult trip to Goodison Park to play Everton this weekend before they take on CSKA Moscow and Manchester City.
United then end the month with clashes against Middlesbrough and Crystal Palace.
It is a tricky fixture list but Mata, currently away on international duty with Spain, insisted United will be prepared for the games.
“Once I’m back in Manchester we will have to get ready for a few games that are going to be tough and thrilling,” Mata said.
“First against Everton, always an intense and complicated match, and next week against CSKA Moscow and Manchester City. October is meant to be a very difficult month and we must be ready for it.”
United started October in disastrous fashion as they were beaten by Arsenal 3-0 at the Emirates stadium. Louis van Gaal labelled the performance in the game as the worst of his reign and he, along with the club’s supporters, will be expecting a response against Everton this weekend.
