Cristiano Ronaldo has insisted he wants to finish his career with Real Madrid amid suggestions Manchester United and Paris Saint-Germain are interested in signing the Portuguese forward.

There were rumours that Ronaldo was unhappy at Madrid following the departure of Carlo Ancelotti and the arrival of Gareth Bale from Tottenham Hotspur.

Man United and PSG were said to be preparing big money moves for the player, who recently won his fourth European Golden Shoe award.

However, Ronaldo rubbished the rumours and committed his long-term future to Madrid.

“Logically, I have a contract until I am 33 and – as I have said a number of times – my dream is to finish here with Real Madrid,” Ronaldo said.

“I am settled here, I’m useful here and I want to continue at the club. I want to win and I am at the best club in the world. I’m not satisfied yet – I always want more. Real Madrid have to win silverware every season and this year is no different. We want to win the league, the Champions League, the cup – everything.”

Ronaldo is a huge superstar of world football and arranging a transfer for him would be incredibly difficult to pull off. And at 30, the forward isn’t getting any younger. Although it is good for fans to dream, it’s safe to say that United can forget about signing Ronaldo.
