Euro 2016: What Manchester United players will play in France next summer?

by Sam Peoples

Memphis Depay and Daley Blind might not have qualified for Euro 2016 but there will be plenty of Manchester United players out in the tournament next summer.

Netherlands failing to qualify is certainly one of the biggest surprises of the summer but so is Northern Ireland, and therefore Paddy McNair, finishing top of their qualifying group which was a fantastic achievement.

Anthony Martial and Morgan Schneiderlin qualified automatically as France are hosts and it’ll be very exciting to see how Martial gets on and whether he is given a starting role for the host nation.

Here is a full breakdown of the Man United players who will be taking part in Euro 2016 with their respective countries.

Belgium: Marouane Fellaini

England: Wayne Rooney, Chris Smalling, Phil Jones and Michael Carrick

France: Morgan Schneiderlin, Anthony Martial

Germany: Bastian Schweinsteiger

Italy: Matteo Darmian

Northern Ireland: Paddy McNair

Spain: David de Gea, Juan Mata

We’re certainly looking forward to seeing how United’s players get on next summer and our early favourites are certainly Germany because they are just so consistent when it comes to international football.
