Manchester United have been dealt a fresh injury blow after the news that Ashley Young is ruled out of Saturday’s game against Everton.
The 30-year-old has filled in at left-back following Luke Shaw and Marcos Rojo‘s injuries but now that he is unavailable for selection, it causes another selection crisis for Louis van Gaal at left-back.
Van Gaal could potentially bring Phil Jones into defence and push Daley Blind to left-back but that in itself would break up his partnership with Chris Smalling, which has unexpectedly become one of our strong points this season.

Injuries weren’t a problem for United at the start of the season and that consistency in selection really helped us but they are worryingly starting to creep back and the latest injury to Young is another set-back.
With Shaw ruled out for the season, Rojo unavailable to play for 90 minutes and Young now injured, van Gaal may be left with no choice but to force Blind out wide.
