Manchester United announce travelling squad ahead of CSKA Moscow clash

by Ben Topliss

Manchester United have announced the 20-man squad which will travel to Russia to face CSKA Moscow on Wednesday.

Sergio Romero travels after missing the Everton victory last time out due to injury, while Antonio Valencia also makes the cut.

Jesse Lingard and Andreas Pereira will be hoping to feature in the clash, as will Memphis Depay, who was dropped to the substitute’s bench against Everton.

Louis van Gaal will have plenty of options in midfield as Bastian Schweinsteiger, Morgan Schneiderlin, Michael Carrick and Ander Herrera are all included.

CSKA will provide a stern test for United in Russia and there is no doubt whatsoever that van Gaal’s side are in for a tough game.

However, if United produce a similar performance to the one at Goodison Park last weekend, they should be fine. United were in excellent form as goals from Ander Herrera, Morgan Schneiderlin and Wayne Rooney wrapped up a 3-0 win against Everton.
