Crystal Palace manager Alan Pardew has confirmed he will be without several first-team players for the visit of Manchester United this weekend.

Influential midfielder Yohan Cabaye was forced to miss Palace’s Capital One Cup clash against Manchester City this week after picking up a knock.

Jason Puncheon is also a doubt, while Marouane Chamakh, Connor Wickham and Pape Souare will all be sidelined.

Pardew provided supporters with an injury update ahead of the Premier League clash against Man United.

“Cabaye was injured and we’re sweating on him for Saturday,” Pardew said.

“Connor and Chamakh are both training but they won’t make Saturday for sure, Pape, same again, and he is an important player for us down that left-hand side.”

Cabaye, in particular, will be a big loss for Palace if he does miss the match. The Frenchman has scored four times since his summer move to London and Pardew would have been pinning most of his hopes for the clash on him.
