Bastian Schweinsteiger: “We’re ready to get back on track!”

by Sam Peoples

Bastian Schweinsteiger wants Manchester United to turn around their recent run of poor form and get back to winning ways.

Man United head into tonight’s UEFA Champions League game against CSKA Moscow without a win in four games nor a goal in over five hours of football.

It’s a run which has frustrated fans simply because of how uninspiring the football is to watch but Schweinsteiger wants to ‘get back on track’ with a win under the floodlights at Old Trafford.

I’d be a little surprised to see Schweinsteiger start unless Morgan Schneiderlin is unavailable for selection, simply because the games are coming thick and fast and he was substituted against Crystal Palace looking pretty tired.

Whoever plays tonight, there’s a pressure on United to score goals and to win. Imagine the outcry if there is another 0-0 performance with only a home game against West Brom ahead of another two week international break – that’ll be a long and painful two weeks just like it was after the Arsenal defeat.

The only people who can turn it around are the players themselves and they really need to perform tonight because anything but a win and frustrations will continue to bubble under the surface.
