Luke Shaw celebrates Manchester United’s win over CSKA Moscow

Luke Shaw congratulated his Manchester United’s team-mates after their crucial 1-0 win over CSKA Moscow at Old Trafford.

Wayne Rooney‘s headed goal in the second half gave Man United all three points and put an end to a dull run of draws which was beginning to frustrate fans.

The win puts United top of their UEFA Champions League group and means their qualification remains in their control, with another home game against PSV Eindhoven still left to play.

Louis van Gaal gave an update on Shaw’s current rehabilitation situation and said he is recovering as good as United could have hoped at the moment, so it sounds like everything is going in the right direction.

For Shaw, it will be bitter sweet watching his team-mates play in the Champions League when he desperately wants to be on the pitch but he’ll be there supporting them every step of the way.

Marcos Rojo played well at left-back and overlapped far more than usual but he lacked the final ball which Shaw found so easily at the start of the season, and that’s something he’ll have to improve over the course of the season.
