Manchester United’s Matteo Darmian seemed focused on the task at hand while training with Italy ahead of their friendlies against Belgium and Romania during the international break.
The full-back has suffered some mixed form at Man United in recent weeks and was suspended for the game against West Bromwich Albion last time out.
He enjoyed a superb start to life at Old Trafford but his performances have dropped off as of late.
Darmian will be keen to get back on track with his national side during the international break, starting with the clash against Belgium at the King Baudouin Stadium on Friday.
Darmian endeared himself to fans’ during his early United career with a string of fine displays but Ashley Young and Antonio Valencia have ended up offering sterner competition for his place in the side.
However, the defender’s versatility will undoubtedly be a useful tool for Louis van Gaal over the course of the campaign as he searches for silverware this season.
